Martin Luther, a man born of peasant stock in Saxony, was destined to change the religious thinking of Europe. Although intended to be a lawyer, an inner religious conflict caused him to enter a monastery. Then, after three years of its strict discipline, he became a professor of the University of Wittenberg. His career as a reformer began when he nailed his famous "Ninety-Five Theses" to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg on All Saints Day in 1517. In this audio biography, John MacKelvie, himself a Protestant Minister, brings to life the stirring days of the 1500s and traces the effect upon subsequent centuries of one humble but rebellious monk. The part of Martin Luther is played by John Green. Other parts are played by Gary Hope and Robin Scoby. FIND MORE TITLES:
